Details of complaint: The house was purchased in 2019 and was subsequently retrofitted to serve as a student residence for 18 students during term, and as a holiday house/party house during the holidays. The owner has not applied for consent, nor rezoning.
Details of evidence given to the municipality: Detailed complaints, affidavits, photographs, sound recordings, Metro Police reference numbers for numerous noise complaints; meetings with municipal officials. A community protest outside the house was held on Jan 5th 2023.
Progress: No confirmed progress. Verbal assurances that notices have been issued, but no official response. A reference number was sent in response to a request for a Section 76 Notice to be served
