Nature of complaint: Unregistered/problematic student residence, Unregistered/problematic guest house/B&B/party venue/Illegal Building/Theft of lights and water
Details of complaint: The owner over-crowds these properties with students, constant high levels of noise, at No:17 the owner has built right onto the boundary wall separating the property from a neighbour.
The property has been raided but the owner has continued to operate. The house is filled with tenants as well as an illegal school being run on the property. Building has continued, despite a contravention notice. The owner has had illegal electrical and water connections seized and disconnected several times but simply reconnects them again. There are traffic problems with taxis dropping off people and parking in the street overnight.
Details of evidence given to the municipality: Numerous complaints over the years, all of which have been acted upon, but the owner simply refuses to comply.
Progress: Numerous contravention orders and disconnection of lights and water, but the owner simply does not comply.
